Sassi di Matera a barlanglak\u00e1sok, ami ismertt\u00e9 teszi ezt a leny\u0171g\u00f6z\u0151 helyet. Az 1950-es \u00e9vekben m\u00e9g a szeg\u00e9nyebb csal\u00e1dok a barlanglak\u00e1sokban sz\u00f6rny\u0171 k\u00f6r\u00fclm\u00e9nyek k\u00f6z\u00f6tt itt \u00e9ltek, ez\u00e1ltal \u02ddIt\u00e1lia sz\u00e9gyene\u02dd n\u00e9ven is illett\u00e9k a v\u00e1rost. A telep\u00fcl\u00e9s barlanglak\u00e1saiban hatalmas csal\u00e1dok laktak egy\u00fctt h\u00e1zi\u00e1llataikkal, foly\u00f3v\u00edz \u00e9s elektromoss\u00e1g n\u00e9lk\u00fcl. Ebben a nem higi\u00e9nikus k\u00f6rnyezetben egyre csak terjedtek a betegs\u00e9gek, f\u0151leg a mal\u00e1ria. A sassi-b\u00e9rl\u0151k id\u0151vel elk\u00f6lt\u00f6ztek, az \u00fajv\u00e1ros modern h\u00e1zaiba, fel a szikla tetej\u00e9re \u00e9s az ut\u00f3bbi \u00e9vtizedekben pedig \u00fajra felfedezik az utaz\u00f3k \u00e9s a befektet\u0151k a telep\u00fcl\u00e9st. 1993-ban az UNESCO Vil\u00e1g\u00f6r\u00f6ks\u00e9gi Helysz\u00ednn\u00e9 v\u00e1lasztotta. A filmben megfigyelhetj\u00fck Matera utc\u00e1it, ahol J\u00e9zus viszi a keresztet valamint ahogy a r\u00f3mai katon\u00e1k korb\u00e1csolj\u00e1k. A filmet<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> 2004-ben mutatt\u00e1k be. Ez abban az \u00e9vben az egyik legvitatottabb alkot\u00e1s volt. A forgat\u00f3k\u00f6nyv\u00e9t Benedict Fitzgerald &nbsp;\u00e9s Mel Gibson \u00edrta, aki a film rendez\u0151je \u00e9s producere is egyben. A Passi\u00f3t igyekeztek korh\u0171 nyelvezettel el\u0151adni. Minden<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a> szerepl\u0151je ar\u00e1mi nyelven, a r\u00f3mai katon\u00e1k pedig latin nyelven sz\u00f3laltak meg.
